This is Git-Version (Git-Tag) v7.40.20.2 of OpenSoar, but don't push any own commits after this because the base will be rebuild! The Hash of this state is '575cc1df', normally you will seen this in the splash screen/info page! Different from the XCSoar master:
(WIP) means: Work In Progress: This isn't really ready up to now, it should work, but here there is some review missing!
The Linux executable is still missing the deb installation package - it may not run due to missing dependencies (this is a work in progress, don't need to be reported to me)
Please keep in mind that unfortunately the Android version is currently unsigned ;-(
A major achievement has been achieved with the new OpenVario version: You can now upgrade to new firmware directly on the system! While switching to a 'new' firmware still requires a relatively large number of steps (special preparation of the USB stick, several commands in the Linux shell), an upgrade from a newer firmware to the next firmware version will be very, very easy! All you need is the desired firmware image on an (additional) USB stick in the '/openvario/images' folder or - and this is even easier - this image is in the data repository in the 'images' folder (/home/root /data/images)! It doesn't matter whether it got there via a copy, via SSH (FTP) or - in a later release - via a download from a server! In this case, a USB stick is no longer required!
You have the possibility to upgrade the OpenVario device without removing and inserting of the SD card. The upgrade will be done via USB stick, prepared with a setting like the content of the ZIP file below - of course from the correct hardware! After Upgrade the setting of the device should be the same like before.
A description of the upgrade functionality can be found in the pdf file: 'OpenVario-Upgrade' (unfortunately currently only available in German)!
No IPK packages available up to now!
